During the winter months our cattle are fed only high quality
grass and alfalfa hay, home or locally grown, and supplemented with
some wholesome grain such as corn, oats, and soybean meal. At no
time are the cattle ever fed animal by-products. During the grazing
season our cattle are rotated among several pastures. They are moved
to fresh pasture frequently to allow for plant recovery and re-growth
and to provide optimum nutrition for the breeding herd and calves.
It is more costly to produce natural beef in this manner, but our
customers, those concerned about nutrition, health, and safety issues
are worth the added expense and see the value in being "in-touch"
with the food supply and being familiar with the farm family, animals,
and land that produce food for their families.
